What I’m loving now:  Fall!  I’ve mentioned my love for the season a number of times, such as here and here.  It’s just so gorgeous.

Something else I am loving right now:  Aged White Cheddar Popcorn!  100% vegan and incredibly tasty, it is from Earth Balance, the same folks that revolutionized vegan butter.  Be on the lookout for a bag to pop open for your next movie night.

Tomorrow, November 1, Free Birds, a new animated feature film, hits theaters.  The comedy “tells the story of two turkeys who travel back in time to the first Thanksgiving in hopes of putting an end to the tragic tradition of eating turkey.”  Its release is very timely.  Will it help inspire more people to reconsider the Thanksgiving turkey this year?  I sure hope so!  Read more here about the plight of turkeys here, and watch the trailer below (if viewing via email, you may need to click through to the site).  And if you’re looking for a few animal-friendly recipes for the holiday, check out my tips for a traditional vegan Thanksgiving meal.

It is not the cages we need to make bigger and the slaughterhouse walls we need to make transparent.  It’s our hearts.

Very informative, thank you! I also like Veg News, as it is an all vegan magazine. I hope lots of people see Free Birds, although I could do without the gratuitous violence (slapping the little bird around, throwing him into a fence). I do intend to see it, though.

I think I discovered it from your Twitter feed and was so excited to find it! I hope to have time this week to sit down and really read it, but I loved what I saw when I skimmed through it the other day. Yay for more vegan resources! :)
